Weddings
Wedding gifts for the couple, in natural gemstones
Two initials joined by an ampersand, or a deity for the couple's first home. Set stone by stone, framed in walnut, and sent boxed to either of you.
What works as a wedding gift
- Joined initials: two letters and an ampersand, set stone by stone
- The ampersand is laid in stone, never left as a gap, because it is what says they belong together
- A deity or symbol for the couple's first home, if you do not know their initials
- Ganesh side profile, Rs 31,900, for a gift meant to stand out on the table
- Nothing to store and nothing to return: it goes straight on a shelf
Ready pairings and made to order
- J and L, Rs 28,900: ready to order today
- S and R, Rs 24,900: ready to order today
- Any other pair of initials is drawn to scale first, then made as a commission
- Commissions take four to eight weeks, so start at least two months before the wedding
- You approve a stone by stone drawing before a single stone is laid
Practical points
- Can be sent directly to the couple rather than carried to the venue
- Arrives boxed and sealed, so it survives a wedding house with no damage
- Free insured delivery across India, signed for
- Commissioned initials cannot be returned, since they are made once for you

Questions about this piece
A monogram of the couple's initials is the most personal option, which is why initials appear on wedding invitations and above the doors of houses built for a marriage. A deity or symbol for their first home works when you do not know how they write their names.
