Ganesha in profile, drawn in fifty stones across six varieties. The trunk sweeps down in blue topaz and finishes in a coil of citrine. Above, peridot, amethyst, pink tourmaline and rhodolite garnet form the crown, scattered rather than lined, so the colour reads as light caught in movement. This is the more modern of our two Ganesha pieces. Where the front facing form is symmetrical and still, the profile is drawn as a single gesture, which suits a study, a desk or a console more than an altar. Every stone is placed by hand onto cream suede, framed in solid wood, and set on an engraved stand. In the tradition, blue topaz is linked to Guru and citrine to Brihaspati, both associated with learning and expansion. Peridot belongs to Budh, and amethyst to Shani, associated with patience. These are traditional associations rather than claims about what a stone will do.

The symbol
The profile form shows Ganesha in motion rather than at rest, the trunk curving to the left, which in tradition is the gentler turn for a household. The scattered stones above the crown are not decoration; they mark the space where the deity is understood to be present rather than depicted. It is a quieter reading of the same idea, which is why it sits as easily on a desk as on a shelf.
How it is made
Six gemstone varieties in eleven cuts, from 2.5 mm citrine rounds to a single 7 by 9 mm rhodolite pear. Mixing sizes this widely is the hardest kind of piece to lay, because the eye reads any inconsistency in spacing immediately. The trunk is set first as one continuous line of blue topaz, and the citrine coil at its tip is placed last. Laid by hand onto suede, framed in solid wood, engraved base.
